Having worked on both the client and agency sides of the business for more than 25 years, Barbie brings a unique point-of-view to growing brands. She believes that for a brand to be successful, it all starts with the strategic foundation. She started her career in brand management for Hallmark, where she worked on an array of specialty products—from stuffed animals to stickers. Barbie was then recruited by Leo Burnett to join the global Kellogg’s account as VP-account director, where she led brand strategy and messaging to multiple audiences.
Barbie then headed to Los Angeles to join Duncan & Associates as president-COO focusing on retail accounts. A national brand strategy for seven regional brands that she implemented resulted in increased sales and efficiencies. Barbie joined Miller Brooks in 2007 and has been guiding the agency and its clients since.
Among other brands she has touched over the years are ACME Markets, CertainTeed Corp., Festool power tools, Kimball Office furniture, Maytag Commercial Laundry and Whirlpool Corp.
She serves on the board of the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center and is passionate about its mission to eliminate cancer’s burden in Indiana and beyond.
