Volvo XC90

CHALLENGE: With less than a week before a print deadline, time was very
tight to come up with a fresh campaign to launch the new Volvo XC90, the
Swedish carmaker's high end 7-seat SUV.

INSIGHT: Due to being CKD (Completely Knocked Down) as opposed to its main
rivals being CBU (Completely Built Up), the XC90 was being offered at a very
competitive price. A strong tactical campaign was required to highlight the
versatility, value and style of the SUV.

INHOUSE SOLUTION: A campaign was developed and turned around in a matter of
days to emphasise the uniqueness of the XC90. It could not be matched on
price by its competitors, it had class leading safety and off-road features
and also offered a very stylish ride. A visual was developed which showed
the XC90 equally at home in the urban jungle and the great outdoors, under
the headline "Unlike Any Other. Anywhere You Like.'' The deadline was met,
and the client reported a "very positive'' jump in sales of their top of the
range SUV.
