Challenge: Ten-year-old AR Capital was a disruptive force among non-traded real estate investment trusts though not well known or understood by the majority of the financial community, much less the American investor. DDCworks was asked to change that. Phase One used public relations to make an immediate and continuous impact on the financial community from large Wall Street firms to mom-and-pop investors as well as the media covering the industry. Phase Two took the AR Capital story to investors themselves via expanded PR and a national multi-media ad campaign. Phase Two has now evolved into the recent launch of AR Capital’s first branded product line, Durable Income, promoted via TV, print and the internet. As a result, the company’s management team is seen as bona-fide thought leaders, is regularly quoted in leading national financial media, and AR Capital has become the top equity raiser in the industry.
