The Adformatix MindField Seminars were launched several years ago to serve as a learning venue for our staff, supplementing the usual forms of training and mentoring. It was designed to help hone and evolve the diverse talents of our people through short talks given by highly respected professionals in our industry. Through the years, there have been many enriching talks on various subjects such as Marketing Fundamentals, Cinematography, Brand Positioning, Post-Production, Producing & Directing, Strategic Thinking, & Sound Design. This year, the first major talk was given by Mr. Jose Javier ‘JJ’ Calero, former Chairman Area Director for JWT’s offices in the South East Asian countries. A highly respected figure in the industry, he shared many invaluable lessons and insights about the principles of “fun & discipline” in management, strengthening agency-client relationships, new business strategies, and the advantages of remaining nimble and entrepreneurial in thinking. JJ Calero’s talk, done in a cozy ‘dialogue’ style, was applauded and appreciated by our staff. Two more MindField speakers are being lined up for the 2nd quarter, one of whom is a multi-award winning writer and commercial movie director.
