BKV recently partnered with client Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) to totally redesign the company’s Retail Marketing Program, which enables DTNA’s dealers and distributors to successfully promote parts and service. The program uses BKV’s proprietary Conduit tool to provide a turnkey, online solution that puts the power to create professional-looking marketing materials right at the dealer’s fingertips while allowing DTNA to keep its brand integrity by controlling the look and feel of each piece.

BKV created the Retail Marketing Program for DTNA more than ten years ago. The 2010 program has evolved to include more functionality than ever before and many new interactive features that help dealers reach customers and prospects who are ready to buy.

Currently, the program has attracted 66 percent of DTNA’s dealer network—or 562 of 851 eligible locations. The enrollment campaign for the 2010 program successfully communicated the benefits of participation (and downside to NOT participating) using the following tactics:

  • Webinars were scheduled to give a sneak preview of the program and materials.
  • Direct Mail package went out with sample flyers and a PURL driving them to their own page on the registration site.
  • Registration site was personalized and featured a Flash Tutorial to preview the new program features/benefits and how to use some of the online functionality.
  • E-mails were sent to reinforce the messaging and non-responders were sent a final e-mail before the enrollment deadline.

Feedback from DTNA dealers was outstanding. The following are just a few of the comments BKV’s service team received:

  • “All of our promotional materials look great, even the manager at the other store thinks so!”
  • “I have gotten more response from the February/March flyer than from all other past flyers combined.”
  • “I am tickled to death at all of the new options.”
  • “Lifting the pricing restrictions allows me to use pricing as a main selling point.  I feel more confident in my flyers now and love the freedom.”
