Fikir Merkezi has launched a new advertising campaign for DYO, one of the biggest paint producers in Turkey. In the tv-spot the story is told through the eyes of a paintcraftsman’s little boy.
When his teacher asks our little friend Ali what his father’s profession is, he replies ‘’well done master‘’. A puzzled expression appears on the teacher’s face as if she has no idea what he is talking about.
The story continues with Ali’s father, the DYO paint master). We see him delivering his gleaming projects and being appreciated by every one of his clients. They give him warm thanks by saying ‘’ Well done, master ‘’ .
At this point the audience now understands what Ali was talking about to his teacher. Everybody was thanking his father and showing their appreciation by saying ‘’well done ‘’ so the boy thinks his father profession is ‘’ well done master ’’.
“Usta” inTurkish means “master" and “craftsman” at the same time. So this sounds much better in the original language.
This phrase became so popular that people started calling each other "well done master ‘’ on social networks. A newspaper even called the players of Fenerbahce soccer team "well done masters" in their sports section headline.
