GOLLEY SLATER AND RANKIN MAKE STARS OF TOWER HAMLET'S HEROES

Photographer to the stars, Rankin, has been called in to help make heroes of residents in the London borough of Tower Hamlets, as part of a hard hitting marketing campaign developed by Golley Slater.

Rankin was tasked with developing a series of striking images to create heroes of residents, in recognition of the massive contribution they make to improve their area. The photographs of local 'heroes' appear in adverts to highlight work being undertaken to combat specific concerns, such as youth unemployment, overcrowding, keeping the borough clean and combating anti-social behavior.

Carefully planned to ensure high visibility and cost effectiveness, Golley Slater's campaign focuses on OOH (out of home) media across six and 48 sheets and bus sides, hitting residents while out and about. Additional supporting media ranged from a local press campaign, including Bangladeshi community papers, to a high impact broadcast campaign across three Bangladeshi community TV stations.

Councillor Joshua Peck, Deputy Leader of Tower Hamlets Council, said: “Golley Slater came up with some great creative ideas and helped us achieve a really top class campaign. We are very grateful to Rankin for getting so involved with the local community. The results are fantastic and informal feedback from residents to date shows that they feel the same.”
