Agency ownership and history

ADEX, Nihon Keizai Advertising was founded in 1947 in Tokyo, Japan as the exclusive advertising agency of Nihon Keizai Newspaper during the chaotic post-war era. We cultivated B to B clients, mainly manufacturing companies. As the Japanese economy grew, we paid more attention to the real estate industry. The more we expanded our real estate accounts, the stronger position we established as real estate business professionals. Later we changed our structure into a full service communications agency to handle all types of media. We are now ranked among the top 10 ad agencies in Japan.

Nobukazu Niwa, president of ADEX began his career at another agency after graduating from the University. He then went abroad to study and upon his return in 1986 he became the president at ADEX. He is the recipient of the Yoshida Hideo Award, the most honored award in the advertising industry.

The Plant

Since its establishment in 1947 with the capital of \100,000, ADEX has continued to grow it's business and scale. In 1990 we recorded our highest sales and changed our corporate identity to ADEX (Advertising Expert.) ADEX joined ICOM in 1993 and extended its business resources. We now employ about 430 employees total in account service, planning, media, account development, creative and management support sections.

Business Approach

A few years ago we established a strategically planned division called The Web Solution Division to provide fully integrated services with cross media solutions, from mass marketing to one-one marketing, in order to drive target audiences to Attention-Interest-Search-Action-Share.
