Mokulele Airlines Expands Network with Inter-Island Jet Service provided by Republic Airways
Small island carrier, Mokulele Airlines has announced that it is now offering 70-seat Embraer jet service between Honolulu, Kona and Lihu‘e. This expanded service is made possible through a strategic alliance with Indianapolis-based Republic Airways.
“I’m very excited about this partnership with Republic Airways, an industry leader whose award-winning service is trusted by six network airlines,” said Bill Boyer, Jr., President/CEO of Mokulele Airlines. “ I am extremely confident that the people of Hawai‘i will appreciate the expanded network choices and quality service this agreement makes possible.”
Loomis-ISC has represented Mokulele Airlines since 2007, when it was a small inter-island commuter and cargo airline. Mokulele’s expansion comes as welcome news in the wake of the loss of ATA and Aloha Airlines this past year. “This is very good news for the economy while providing the people of Hawai‘i an additional choice in inter-island service. This agreement also means new job opportunities, and that is very welcome news for our residents,” said Governor of Hawai‘i, Linda Lingle.
“We encourage former Aloha Airlines and ATA employees to apply for jobs with Mokulele,” said Boyer.
Mokulele Airlines is a Hawai‘i-owned and operated inter-island commuter airline based in Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i. Mokulele currently has a fleet of two Embraer E170 jets, seven 208B Cessna Grand Caravans including a dedicated freighter, and operates 85 daily flights to seven cities in Hawai‘i.
