Agency Pitch Mistake #11
The mistake: believing the really cool agency web site is really selling the agency effectively.

Fact: 100% of decision-makers look at the web sites of 100% of the agencies they’re considering. Before they contact them to meet.

Your web site is the first impression prospects have of your agency. So if your web site isn’t up to par, you’re missing opportunities. And you’ll never know it. They’ll just take a quick look and move on.

Sites that sell effectively:
- Have a sense of personality.
- Showcase several agency people (7+) using lots of photos.
- Have just a few examples of the best work (the more you show, the more the average net quality impression declines.)
- Show the work large enough to be easily read (or have a zoom-in option).
- Avoid long blocks of copy.
- Explain who your clients are (most client companies aren’t well known.)
- Use a font size that’s easy to read.
- Allow for type to be enlarged, i.e., no “flash.”
- Don’t use light gray type on white, or dark gray on black.
