Can you read Danish? If not, then I’m sorry to tell you that you that you can’t read the leading Danish business newspaper: Borsen. Only Danes can read it. And this simple fact is what we focus on – with a touch of humor, of course – in our new campaign for Borsen: “People from all over the world would do anything to learn how to read Borsen”.

We have created a strong campaign that combines the overall branding of Borsen with a straightforward sales message. The campaign takes many different forms. In the ads and the outdoor material we designed fake versions of Borsen, so that it appears to exist in Spanish and German etc.

 

We have also created a web-banner based on the same idea. It shows the various fake versions of Borsen and reminds Danish readers of how lucky they are: They can get the real version at a very low cost:

 

Additionally we created a radio spot with a Chinese man calling Borsen’s sales department and asking for Borsen in Chinese. And finally we have created a film where three Chinese businesspeople are trying to learn Danish at a language school. But as you can see, it’s not that easy to repeat those Danish sentences:
