Despite the economic environment going from bad to worse, 2008 was a year of cool ideas for us. We had fun launching some great campaigns and acquiring some new clients. All in all it was a good year for FM. Here are some samples from our 2008 campaigns.
Vakifbank was the biggest campaign of 2008, both for FM and the banking industry. The 55 year old Vakifbank had completely changed its corporate identity, from its logo to the decoration of branch offices. The campaign announcing the change created a lot of hype as no one was expecting such a change from a state owned bank. Transcribed music from West Side Story played an important role in the campaign.
It was cold outside but we spent our days and nights with ice cream and concentrated on our ‘’Roko Youth Movement‘’ campaign for Ulker Golf’s Roko brand. The campaign was about young guys tired of the too busy, too dirty, too noisy city life.

We launched one of the sweetest campaigns of 2008 in spring. It was for newly acquired client Eker Dairy Products. We made a tv spot sarcasticaly showing how people are trying to hide the Eker’s milky desserts they bought from the new market while they are walking in front of the old time dessert store owner whom they have great respect for.

Another interesting campaign was the Kasmir (a rug brand) campaign in which one of the most beloved and famous Turkish music stars, Sibel Can, performed. The TVC was about the beauty and variety of the collection.

We’ve acquired some new clients such as Kinetix and Flo, they are in the footwear business and we believe we are going mount some great campaigns for them.
We know that 2009 will be a tough year but wish the best possible for all ICOM agencies for 2009.
