ICOM Website
Have you heard the ICOM song?

The ICOM website provides members with many resources. From Events & registration to member agency Client Lists, there is a lot of useful information there. We have added several new members over the past few months so this is a good time to make sure all new members are aware of the many benefits of the website, and for existing members to review in case they haven't visited in a while.

We recommend you appoint one person at your agency to manage your ICOM portfolio on the website.  As you know, your first responsibility as an ICOM member is to create your web presence in the ICOM Portfolio section of the website.  The information contained in the private and secure side of the ICOM website creates the bulk of our database and provides the membership with detailed information on member agency's capabilities, answers research questions quickly and offers samples of member agency campaigns with case histories and ad samples.

Each member is responsible for creating their own portfolio. This involves inputting data and loading documents, as well as maintaining this information

To Update your portfolio on the ICOM website you can go to: http://www.icomagencies.com/Members.asp

Located in the Administration section of Members Only, member agencies load, enter, edit or delete their agency information and documents displayed in the private section of your Fact Sheet, Client List, Case History data and the public Portfolio section. The majority of this data is used to provide vital information for membership requests and needs. The more complete your individual data, the more effective the website will be in answering member needs.

Step 1: Find your agency name from the list of agencies and select which section you would like to work on.

Step 2: To edit your portfolio, either click on an image you've already uploaded or select "New Portfolio Listing" to add new content. You can upload print, TV, Radio and multimedia work by selecting the category and hiting "Browse" to find the file on your desktop.

Step 3: Once you have successfully uploaded your images name them and provide some information about them.

Step 4: Click the the "Insert Record" button at the bottom to create the file.

Please make sure that your agencies information on the ICOM website is complete and current.

To ask for assistance from other members, use the Mutual Assistance Request (MAR) form in the Members Only section of the ICOM website to post your question or post a survey to the group.

Mutual Assistance is a form used for specific requests for general assistance or new business. Please read the ground rules before you complete the form. The form requires certain information which we have found very helpful in fulfilling assistance requests.

Once an MAR is submitted, the form comes directly to ICOM Headquarters, and we review it and then send it to the specific agencies. The turnaround time can be as short as 72 hours.

A new business request will be responded to within 24 hours and is to be used for emergency assistance only.

To fill out an MAR, go to http:www.icomagencies.com/members.asp.  This form is also available in Spanish.

To create a survey you may use Zoomerang. You will need to login to the Zoomerang website (the link and username and password are provided for you on this page of the ICOM website). You will have the option to upload your own mailing list for the survey or create a weblink to the surevey. If you wish for the weblink to be distributed to ICOM members you will need to return to the ICOM site and fill out an MAR about the survey and ICOM staff will distribute the link to the members for you. The link for Zoomerang is just below the MAR form link.

Be sure to be clear with your request. or it may be unecessarily delayed.

And remember, all MAR’s must be approved by the agency principal.

If you have any questions about any of these processes, please don't hesitate to contact me.
