Cramer-Krasselt - Chicago, Illinois
C-K 2010 Cultural Dictionary Shares the New Words on Everyone’s Lips: Oilpocalypse. Appholes. Gagalicious. Tweeva. Every year, Cramer-Krasselt endeavors to capture a “cultural snapshot” with its Cultural Dictionary, a collection of new terms and phrases with insights into the events and trends they reflect.
Gathered online, offline, from overheard conversations and the agency’s own employees, C-K’s annual Dictionary is more than a collection of new wordsit also touches on broader cultural trends as the country emerges from the recession and enters a new decade. From Holistic Sustainability (Green and Beyond) to Populism 2.0 (The New Politics), Blame-Sharing (Wall Street, Main Street, My Street) to Tribalized Fandom (Declared Devotion to Entertainment Icons), each chapter highlights significant trends and events shaping our collective vernacular.

Now in its third year, C-K’s Cultural Dictionary has garnered national press coverage including The Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, U.S. News & World Report, Adweek and Brandweek.
