Northlich Serves Up Tasty Social Marketing Campaign
Northlich launched a new social marketing campaign for the Children’s Hunger Alliance this month. Designed to change the behavior of low socioeconomic parents and caregivers in Ohio, the campaign urges them to focus on providing better nutrition for children to help them do better in school and in life.
The simple and surprising graphic execution communicates what healthy eating and being active can do for kids visual shorthand for “you are what you eat.” The campaign uses silhouettes of kids in school settings filled with words that show why that child is being active or inactive. A silhouette of a child running in the gym shows words like “apple, milk, whole grains,” while a silhouette of a child sleeping in class reads “sugary snacks, soda, candy.”
The fully integrated marketing campaign includes out-of-home ads, radio spots, a website, collateral, PR and grassroots.
Northlich’s social marketing practice delivers award-winning, fully integrated marketing and grassroots campaigns that drive behavioral change within niche audiences like at-risk teens, smokers, healthcare professionals and Appalachian residents. The agency’s social marketing clients include Tennessee QUITLINE, Dominican Republic LifeWorks and Keep Ohio Beautiful.
