A true story of ICOM spirit
The ICOM Network recently did a great job for a new piece of business in Turkey and here is the story of how it happened.
Turkish Machinery Promotion Group called 9 agencies including FM in a pitch for their new campaign targeting the domestic market.
TMPG was established to improve the sales promotion of Turkish machinery all over the world. Although Turkish machinery manufacturers export to 200 countries and are very succesful internationally, Turkish industrial producers are still buying from the traditional producers that they have always used. So the campaign is built on Turkish machinery manufacturer’s success, highlighting that they are known worldwide and Turkish industrial producers prefer them.
After we received the call for the pitch we only had 4 days to prepare. We came up with a hillarious idea and we requested fellow ICOM members to participate by sending us a video of them saying “ticker ticker” in their unique accents.
We sent our MAR to the network on Thursday afternoon and set the deadline for the following Monday, the day before the pitch. We received MAR responses from 25 countries and we were ready for the pitch right on time.
We were very confident about the creative however making them feel “the idea” was the important part. The contributions from our collegues all over the world enabled us to create that hype.
