ICOM Members Win Big at Effie Awards

Colle+McVoy, Cramer-Krasselt and Williams Whittle won a total of five Effies at the 2009 annual event in New York City early this month, the most Effies ever won by ICOM members in a single year.

The Effies are the pre-eminent awards in the industry honoring the most effective marketing communications campaigns contributing to a brand’s success.

Colle+McVoy won two golds, one for its work with Rhymesayers Entertainment and the underground hip-hop duo Atmosphere in the Culture & the Arts category, and another in the David vs. Goliath category for its overall marketing approach for Erbert & Gerbert’s Subs & Clubs.

Cramer-Krasselt won a Silver Effie for its campaign for Evinrude outdoor motors in the Leisure Products & Services category and a Bronze Effie for its campaign for TV Guide in the Media Companies category.

Williams Whittle took home a Gold Effie for its campaign for the USO in the Influencers category.

In another national awards competition, ZLRIGNITION won a Gold National Addy in the Public Service category for its campaign for the Tobacco Use Prevention Division of the Iowa Dept. of Public Health.
