Podcasts are audio and/or video broadcasts that are downloadable for free from the Internet on computers, notebooks, iPods and iPhones. Web content becomes “transportable” which means that our communications will reach the people who represent our target audience just when they want it.
Podcasts are able to reach the audience that most often turns from traditional media and they can create virtual communities formed by people that share the same passion, allowing companies to focus their communication on a precise and well-defined target.
Podcasts are very popular in the United States as a communication tool but in Italy and the rest of Europe the percentage of usage is still low. This makes Opinion Leader the first agency to use it as a proper media and promote its value.
