BKV - Overland Park, Kansas

BKV recently added a new client: SANY America Inc., the North American division of the largest heavy equipment manufacturer in China. As one of the top 10 heavy equipment manufacturers in the world, SANY employs more than 30,000 people worldwide.

As a Chinese company, the creative work had always been done in China. SANY America was seeking an American agency to deliver cutting-edge creative that would help them break into the North American market.

What makes this story particularly interesting is SANY almost wasn't a client. BKV had initially pitched this business last year. Although they were impressed with our proposal, BKV came in a close second, losing the business to another agency. When the first agency didn't work out, SANY offered us the opportunity to do some project work based on the creative work we had shown them in the initial pitch. This work has begun with an advertising campaign composed of six ads, some of which you can see in the attached graphic.

With the success of this initial campaign, we're hoping to grow our business with SANY America. This story proves that when we think we've lost a new business pitch, we as agencies should never lose hope-our hard work pays off when the prospect we thought got away comes back to us again!
